LOOK AT THESE FABULOUS PRIZES!

While it's nowhere near as glamorous as the Oscars, it's certainly not as rigged and meaningless as the Grammys. I'm talking about the ENnies, the semi-prestigious gamer equivalent to the Golden Globes........or at least the Tonys. What does that have to do with the fastest rising game company in the North Central Massachusetts region? Nothin'. 'Scept that our own little zombie free-for-all Eat & Run is being considered for one.

Now I know what you're thinking "So what? That has as much relevance to my life as the Yankee Candle Kid's opinion of the new Freesia and Lemongrass car freshener." In response allow me to retort: "HA!" In honor of this great.......honor, Brainpan Games is announcing it's first ever contest, like with prizes and everything!

As part of the registration for the ENnies, entrants are allowed to select a "theme song" that would be played at the ceremony should their entry win. Your task is to guess what song the merry gangsters at BPG opted to have played if Eat & Run should win. The first five correct entries will win a free copy of the deluxe Red Cover Variant of Eat & Run. Submissions can be made at the Brainpan Games website: www.brainpangames.com.

How to choose from the hundreds of thousands of possible songs? Here’s a hint: Eat & Run is a humorous game about the living dead returning to life.

Good Luck!

FIRST COURSE

Brainpan Games is proud to announce the release of their first product: Eat & Run. The game is a humorous horror role-playing game featuring zombies, is the first in a long line of projected board, card and tabletop role-playing games currently in production. Eat & Run is a “beer and pretzels” game, meaning it features an easy to learn set of rules and a less than serious attitude. Players of the game get to take the roles of zombies stampeding through a quaint small town trying to “collect” Townsfolk while avoiding being killed by the Heroes who serve as the games main adversaries.

The game is currently available for sale at local game and hobby shops [provided New England is local to you] and online at http://www.brainpangames.com/. The game will be premiering nationally at Gen Con, the foremost national gaming event which takes place in August. The game is also being considered for an Ennie, the “Oscars” of the hobby game industry.

With the tongue-in-cheek tagline “Stay Hungry” and pre-release blurbs promoting the game as “the Justin Beiber of tabletop RPGs” [because the game is horrifying, completely manufactured and contributes nothing to art, culture or society as a whole], you may think the game is somewhat flippant, however, you should realize it is wholly irreverent as well.

With the release of this first game and several other games and game supplements in the pipeline to be released over the next eighteen months, Brainpan Games is now on their way to becoming a premiere name in the gaming community and one of leading sources of quality independent gaming products in New England. The Brainpan logo will serve as a signifier of quality regardless of whether it adorns a card game or a core role playing rulebook. Playing with your head is something we promise to be doing for a long time to come.

Preheating.....

This is a test run of the new blog for Brainpan Games. If all goes well, we will be featuring pages for each of our new releases as well as for news and views of games in general, the gaming community and the world as a whole. Excuse the brevity of this post, but I have to go break a few eggs.
